We were blown away the first time we came and decided to come back and see how it held up. When we walked in we were greeted immediately. There was no waiting to be seated. Our server was a little unfamiliar with the menu but with it just opening we gave her some grace. She was prompt to get our drink order and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. Food came out quick and was beautifully plated. We chose the early morning breakfast with 1/4 ham steak and the Blue Plate country breakfast and coffee. Everything was so tasty. Our bill for the two of us before tip was just shy of $30.
We went out today 8/16/2024 and had lunch . It was very good. I had the Friday Special, Fried Catfish. There was different sides to choose from depending on your personal preferences . I got coleslaw and green beans. It was very good. My wife got an omelette. She said it was very good. The best catfish I had since moving to Oklahoma. Kind of reminded me of Middendorf’s , Manchac, Louisiana. That’s a good thing. The waitress did an excellent job. I highly recommend giving them try. They are reasonably priced. .
I had a great experience. Food was good and service was great. The line to get in seemed long on a Sunday, but they were really good and moving people through the restaurant; only ended up waiting about 10-15 mins. Restrooms were clean.
This is a great breakfast/lunch spot in Broken Arrow. Good sized menu, from classic breakfast options to skillets to breakfast burritos and chicken and waffles. So far I’ve had the breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito, both excellent. The hashbrowns and breakfast potatoes were good, I’d probably request them a tad crispier next time . Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and tidy. Prices are on par with most places.

Our server, Zoe,was completely in tune with what we wanted; refills were offered at the right time without having to flag someone down…. maybe the best service anticipation we’ve ever been treated to. She was friendly, helpful and wonderfully polite. The food portions were massive, tasty and very fairly priced. We had the Popeye and everything omelettes and they were DELICIOUS! The pancakes were a complimentary “side” and were done perfectly. This is our new breakfast “go-to”!
They are open. And....I like the Blue Plate Café! Are diners making a comeback? I hope so. Although I love the stuff, the explosion of Mexican restaurants is getting out of hand. Chicken strips, and wing vendors are another invasion, too many, especially in Broken Arrow. Welcome the Blue Plate Café, which proclaims to be Broken Arrow’s, elite Blue Plate Café! The cafés menu has an expansive variety of American style breakfasts and lunches. Their menu looks good. In addition to the breakfast selection the menu covers soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, classic diner entrées, and daily specials (browse the menu pictures.) And for that unimaginative boring person at the table, chicken tenders. The sandwich, soup and salad section of the menu appealed to me. I can see another visit in the future. Breakfast for me, my standard cafe breakfast challenge; two eggs sunny side up, bacon and hashbrowns (both crisp), biscuit and gravy, and coffee. The meal came to the table quickly after being ordered. It was perfect, on spec, exactly as ordered. Delicious. The coffee, an adequate café brew. The restaurant was well staffed this morning with their new employees in training. We got double friendly attention as the new servers were accompanied with their trainer. The cook was certainly not in training. The food was prepared perfectly! A big tasty breakfast with excellent service. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The furnishings appeared to be fairly new. The café is attractively decorated with, as you would expect, a café motif of pictures and signs with catchy words of wisdom. Booths and tables are available. The parking lot is roomy with easy access from Kenosha or Elm Pl. Blue Plate Café works for me…I like it!

So, please keep that in mind when considering this restaurant, establishment, and/or venue. MY REVIEW: My husband and I ate at Blue Plate Cafe for the first time today. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak dinner, which came with a salad and two sides (I opted for mashed potatoes and okra). The salad was fresh but nothing special. But the rest of my meal was very good. The meat was tender and wasn't a small piece smothered in batter. The batter was tasty and appropriately balanced with the meat. My husband ordered the Chili Burger and said it was delicious. He's very picky about chili but commented that, for him, it was better than Goldie's and Ron's chili. It must have been good for him to say that about it. We went during lunch hour and had a short wait to get a table, but it was worth it. Our waitress was friendly and good for the most part. We had to wait on refills a couple times but they were busy. We'll definitely go back to this restaurant. Every "blue" plate that passed our table was piled with delicious-looking food.
Had a very delicious lunch with a good friend. Best way to spend a day. Great food. First time here and I felt the good vibes. Wish I could have ripped my waitress more she deserved more but times are tuff. Thank you for such a great breakfast. Sorry to hear about the owners other business and the gas leak today.
Good Food, Good Atmosphere, Service was excellent. Recommend for a hearty, home cooking experience.
